Well, I am far enough along in this venture to give you all some more details. I didn't want to "jump the gun" and just say... I'm buying a house that is in an UNKNOWN condition for $10K... when in fact, I had no idea if 1) the guy would accept my offer and 2) if the building inspectors would even let it sell because of its condition. But it appears that this journey might continue after all. I am putting in an official $10K offer today on this house. This is after speaking with the building inspector yesterday who said, "It's ironic that you called. I just pulled this file two weeks ago and sent this guy a letter, saying he needed to get something done with this house or he was going to be in trouble." Ironic... I don't think so... I call it divine providence. Although to some, after seeing these pictures and hearing that we may have termites, the house has been sitting vacant for three years, and that there needs to be a structural engineer inspection, it might look like a nightmare. But to me I see divine providence... Am I crazy??
